80*, feels like 81*, 48% humidity, WSW 14 mph, fair Mr. Hyper has been battling some kind of viral or bacterial infection for close to a week now. He tried all kinds of commercial cough meds and finally last Sunday went to the clinic and got some antibiotics though the doctor told him it may not work as it might be a virus and that he would just have to wait it out. I was fine until yesterday. I should of known something was up when I didn't want to wake up yesterday and had to force myself out of bed. After that I was fine until the afternoon when I began having symptoms---swollen glands, cough, stuffed up ears, sore throat.
Mr. Hyper, a man who always pops pills for everything, suggested I take medicine (cough syrup) last night. I am the opposite. I HATE taking pills and medicines. I won't do it unless absolutely necessary. So Instead, today I made myself some Thyme and Mint Tea. Thyme is supposed to be a great cough suppressant. Do an Internet search and you'll come up with all kinds of things thyme is supposed to help. In addition, apparently you can see garden fairies after drinking thyme tea but if that happens Ill be sure to check myself into the nearest hospital pronto. I added some ginger mint for flavor and brewed some tea. So far I do feel somewhat better...and my breath smells minty fresh also but will it 'cure' me faster without prescriptions? We shall see.
