Work and Nice Weather

74*, 37% humidity, S 11 mph wind, partly cloudy

Work is never all that bad in rotten weather. When it is cold and blustery outside it is so much easier to come in to work at the hospital. But when the days are nice, brilliant, warm and enjoyable it's hard to make it in without considering taking some "sick days". Of course, I didn't but I thought about it...

It was too nice today. This morning I spent some time outside, but cleaned house as well as it needed it and I felt a lot of energy. I hate vacuuming and usually leave that for Mr. Hyper but I did it this morning. With the Big Bunny outside during nice weather I can have my living room back, free now from his great big cage and all the bedding he likes to kick out of it all over the place. It was feeling a bit crowded!

In the garden things are doing well, the pansies are blooming like crazy. I put up hummingbird feeder as I hope my hummers from last summer will come back. Last year they came for my cardinal creeper vines, this year I hope to attract them sooner as they are so fun to watch.

This is the time of year where most of my free time outside of sleep and work is spent outside working in the garden. I wake up very early, work about 5 hours in the garden and then get ready and go to work for 8 or 9 hours at the hospital. I also sleep very well during the warmer months. This is also why I am ready to put the garden to bed at the end of fall so I can have my winter break!

Also there are still no bees. It was 82* today and not a single bee in my garden. It's eerie and I don't like it. Things like bees tend to be canaries to coal mines...

Sorry to hear about no bees. Have you heard about the disappearing bee syndrome?
