I still have flowers.....

They may not be the prettiest flowers ever, but I am shocked and amazed that I still have Flowers at all in the middle of November.

Lady Bird Johnson rose (The one that you can never photograph the color)

Blurry but this is a cardinal lobelia.

A self seeded sweet alyssum.

Cyclamen.

This sunflower has seen better days, but it's flower has lasted over a couple weeks!

Calendulas.

Pansy---the only pansies that survived summer and they were in the milk can.

That Lady Bird Johnson rose looks orangey-red. Is it? Funny--I would have pegged her for a yellow rose.

Anyway, you are right that it's hard to photograph those deep red flowers. I finally learned to put my camera on a custom setting for reds, which helps, but sometimes it still blends all the color together.

That's a good showing of flowers for northern Indiana in November. You have one of the greenest thumbs around.

The color of the pansy is gorgeous, GGG - and your calendulas look wonderful.

I looked up the Ladybird Johnson rose and found out she chose it herself from a group of nine candidates, saying how much she loved coral colors. How cool to have it in flower for blooming day.

I've never seen that Lady Bird rose. How gorgeous. Looks sort of like a Leonidas rose which I had in my wedding bouquet.

You are an industrious Indiana gardener with a surprising number of blooms for this time of year! I enjoyed the pictures and post so thank you!

pam, its a bright coral color...quite pretty and nicely fregrant.

Thanks Carol :)

Annie, those pansies have never stopped blooming from april untill now. They are great!

Bonnie, the moment I saw that rose in the J&P catalouge, I Knew I had to have it. As a bonus, its on it's own rootstock which is a good thing in this climate.

layanee, I think i read somewhere that this area has had a month longer growing season then average this year!
