I don't know the first thing about harvesting and growing stuff from seed...I collected some daylily seeds last fall and have them here on my desk...What do I need to do with them before I stick them in some dirt? Any other advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Hey, think of the bright side, now you have some Daylilies off to a great start! I, too have little cups of seeds soaking before getting planted tomorrow.
Trapped in Cornfields....
This is my story, my life, in Indiana.
I love seeds. Seeds are like the mystery of the universe all packaged up in a handy little carrying case. :) Forget those people who tell you it's better not to try to grow a seed. That it won't amount to anything worthwhile. To those folks I say pooey! Every seed has potential and most of all hope which is a good enough reason for me.
I garden in a swell, surrounded by farms, swamp, and a stone's throw from Indiana dunes. This is zone 5-6. We get lots of snow in the winter, and lots of rain in the summer.

I used to do so much seed starting but haven't done as much for the past few years, seeing your posts makes me want to do more.
