Whats a garden without legumes?
- Pea--An OP heirloom pea I've been growing for years, got it from my great grand mother. I nearly lost it but managed to get a good crop of seeds from the few plants I had last year. Purple bi color flowers, big flat edible pods, knee high plants.
- Bean- Jacob's Cattle--an OP kind that i got in trade, I've never grown it before.
- Bean- Scarlet Runner--OP from a trade, never grown it before.
- Beans- Tendergreen--green bean from a trader. I don't know if its OP or not.
- Bean- Wild Goose-- OP from a trader, again, new to me.
- Bean- Soldier--OP from a trader, new to me.
- Alfalfa-- OK, these were for eating as sprouts BUT Sasha dog managed to get into them and spill the seed on the rug, near the cat box no less. I saved what seed I could but I will use them as a cover crop and rabbit food instead. Silly dog!
- Pea- tall telephone--OP from a trader.
I have a feeling I'm going to be eating a lot of beans this year.
