Seed racks strike again, rose update, and some bargains.

31*, feels like 25*, 54% humidity, SW 6 mph wind, fair, FLOOD WARNING
It seems like this time of year, despite the fact that I have MORE THEN ENOUGH seed to last a life time, I can not resist browsing the seed racks. I mean catalogues are bad enough, but at least you can't pick up the packets, shake em around to listen to the seeds, smell them, feel their pretty glossy pictures......It seems no matter what I do, I end up with one, or two more in hand when I reach the check out. Celosia is a plant I've never grown before. I've always wanted to but just hadn't ever tried it for one reason or another. I've seen their giant velvety heads in pictures and have drooled every year. Every year I tell myself "I'm going to plant some!" Well this year, darn it, I'm REALLY going to plant some.
The rose seedlings are coming along fine...... Hey do you ever get the itch to help the seedlings pull off their seed coverings??? Yeah.........must.....resist.........helping......seedlings.......
A few bargains from the "distressed plants" table at Lowe's today. They don't look all that distressed to me, but I'm not complaining! A couple of nice ferns and an Ivy too.
