Pupdate and a Plant CATastrophe=Screaming Plants

20*, 73% humidity, W 6 mph wind, fair

Sasha yesterday was not feeling good at all. She had the dry heaves, trying her best to throw up. I'm blaming the pain meds, I know they do the same thing to me. So I have not given her any today to see how she does though this morning she seems to be feeling better and ate with the appetite of a puppy. Yesterday, she was doing her hardest to get to some grass, buried under snow. she always like to eat grass when her tummy is upset. It makes her puke, and she was trying to puke all day. I went to work and did not expect my plants to become part of a salad.

Usually I can blame the cats for destroying my plants. But they have shown no interest in my rubber tree plant, my peppermint, and have nibbled only once the daylilies before deciding they didn't like them. All these mentioned plants were under attack yesterday. When I got home, the house was filled with the screaming of upset plants. My poor beautiful variegated rubber tree plant had EVERY leaf eaten. EVERY SINGLE LEAF! I hope it comes back, but if it doesn't it only cost me $1 off the clearance table. Still, I was proud of how I had brought it back to health and how pretty it was. The peppermint, I could understand that. Peppermint is supposed to be great for upset tummy. But I wouldn't expect a dog to know that. Yet a whole row in the seedling tray was taken out and consumed (Good thing I have plenty....) The daylilies proved less tasty and harder to reach, especially with her lampshade on, and she managed a few leaves and to beat up a few plants. Thank goodness they were firmly rooted, there is hope they will survive. And yes....all this eventually helped her to toss her cookies on the carpet. 2 piles of tossed cookies with greenery.

Sasha has never before attacked my indoor plants. I've taken measures to keep her from repeating this.

Meanwhile, I have nicotiana sprouting alone with cabbage under the grow lights!
