Champagne and Flowers, Brunch at the Farm
What better to do on a on a wet cold dreary day then to spend it in some place warm and bright?
Throw in some free breakfast and Champagne, and you have a very good mix!
Inside the greenhouse, there were chefs making omelets to order--I had mine with ham, green pepper and cheese-- tables where people could sit and eat, surrounded by flowers, an orchestra of high school kids playing music, bottles of Champane, and plant company representatives to talk with.
MMMMM. check out these colors! I love the orange flowered hanging baskets and the ones with yellow flowers too.
And the pansies....I could just eat them up!
They had a few geraniums. It seems that last year it was warmer out at this time. Seems to early this year to try planting out geraniums.
These impatiens are so cute!
And outside, they had pulled some azaleas out of greenhouses to display.
Check these dwarf plants out......they grow like an inch a year only!
The colors and shapes are amazing...but at $18 a plant, a little steep for me. I'd have to really want them and have a spot all ready for them. They even have tiny holy plants in the mix!
You've got to check this cool plant out!

What an absolutely delightful outing! Wish I had been with you, but I always feel like I should buy something, especially if they feed me.
The clover is pretty, I hope it increases and spreads in the orchard for you. That would be charming.
I used many Stepables in my terrace that I wrote about recently. Eleven year old grandson was intrigued by them. Later when I gave his mom a generous start of Dragon Blood Sedum; she caught him stepping on it. She got after him about that and he replied: "It's a Stepable, you can walk on it." I guess he thought all low, creeping plants could be stepped on.
Local news:
Jansen's on 6 in Hobart has 4" perennials, 10 for 14$!
I got 20, naughty!
I'm always looking for a deal!
Check it out!
Sounds like my kind of morning! What fun!
I like your pretty clover. Enjoyed Barbee's story about her grandson and the stepables too :)
The expensive plant is amazing. Looks like something out of the 'Adams Family' with those colors and shapes.
We haven't planted anything yet. Too cold!
